Wolverine Observations

Observations for Cascades Wolverine Project community science projects can be submitted here. Photos and exact coordinates are optional but observations that include both are of much greater value.

Please direct questions to info@cascadeswolverineproject.org. Find help documenting wolverine tracks on our Observation Quick Guide.

Thanks for your contribution!

By clicking submit, you acknowledge that your observation may be shared with our research collaborators to contribute to ongoing scientific studies, including the Washington Wolverine Research and Monitoring Group.  The group maintains the Database of Verifiable Wolverine Detections in Washington, a comprehensive database of non-telemetry-based, verifiable detections of wolverines in Washington from 1996 to the present.

Additionally, the observations' generalized location (observations will be aggregated within 350 square mile hexagons) and a single photo may be displayed on an interactive digital map to showcase the collective efforts of our community in monitoring wolverine habitat. We commit to protecting information that could endanger the animals observed, as well as the locations where community scientists are recreating and observing.

Thank you for your contribution to this dataset created by, and for, the people who live, work and play in wolverine country!
